Finally the wait is over! After 4,380 votes, a resounding 53% of you have decided and it is with our greatest pleasure that we present the new Matomo logo: 🥁🥁🎉🎉
Thank you for the overwhelming response and kind feedback we received. Two weeks ago we asked for your thoughts on the three logos presented and you didn’t disappoint.
As you guys may have gathered and as mentioned in our behind-the-scenes post, this new logo also kickstarts the need for us to update other things, like our website.
When we changed our name from Piwik to Matomo in January, we had to take a look at ourselves as a whole and decided that we had more to add to our story.
But in the back of our minds, we also didn’t want to scare you guys into thinking we were getting bought or were selling out in any way.
So although there are thrilling things in the works for Matomo, we’d still like to reassure you, our community, that some things may be changing, like our logo/homepage etc., but we remain the same in the most crucial of ways. At the heart of it, the values of respecting privacy, data ownership and our belief in offering a free and open-source web analytics tool, will forever be ingrained in our DNA.
Your support has always been the biggest thing for us to remember. We appreciate that greatly and would love for you to join us as we embark on this exciting journey together.
